"WHDH's move is a flagrant violation of the terms of their contract with NBC," John Eck, president of NBC Network, which oversees relations with affiliates, tells the paper. "If they persist, we will strip WHDH of its NBC affiliation. We have a number of other strong options in the Boston market, including using our existing broadcast license to launch an NBC-owned and operated station."
What this means for my husband and I, dear readers, is that if WHDH is stripped of their affiliation, NBC may need trained professionals in the broadcasting field to work in good old Beantown... what's that you say? You need a PA? Well, it just so happens that both my husband and I have degrees in radio and television broadcasting, and would like to move back to the Boston area. No, I haven't worked in about five years; however, I'd be interested in an internship or volunteer work to build up my experience before seeking a paid position with your company. My husband, on the other hand, has worked for Clear Channel in Orlando and WTAG in the Worcester area. Please keep us in mind should you need someone come fall.
