Saw Alice in Wonderland in 3D yesterday... very cool. Costuming and special effects rocked, good plot, etc. Great family outing.

Aside from the medical emergency with our cat, this week has been busy and exhaustive. Nothing really newsworthy to report, here, but overall just a lot to take in and very little time to get things accomplished. Housework... meh. Boring to discuss. More boring to do, but necessary if I want to plan a move back to New England in the next six months. If we don't find something which we can afford by the time the new school year starts, we won't be moving. I'm not yanking the kids out halfway through the school year. We're concentrating our search on southern and central Maine, since we would be within two hours drive of the majority of my family and friends. Moving to Buffalo had been sort of an exodus. It wasn't like we woke up and said, "Hey, Buffalo! That's where I've always wanted to live!" No, it was more like, "Where can we find a cheap house that we can move into on short notice?"
It's not like Buffalo isn't convenient, but after three years, it still doesn't feel like home.

Should things work out, we may end up living near Portland. Nothing further north than Lewiston, though. South of Portland, the closer to the southern coastline, the more expensive. For two weeks, I've been compiling listings of affordable houses near 95. I wouldn't mind living in Manchester, NH, but Bryan is sort of opposed since there is no state tax. (When we lived in FL, we'd thought of this as a good thing, but it was more difficult to keep track of all of the local taxes. I hear his concerns, but I think we should keep options open.)
