cut my hair, but no one noticed
Yep, hacked it off at shoulder-length this morning. Felt that I needed to do something, and it feels much lighter now. I intend to grow it out again, though. Just needed an outward expression of the changes in me. I did some navel-gazing upstairs, and noticed a few things about me that are different. 2010 has made my forehead wrinkle, made my nose freckle, and thinned my hair. It's been a strange year; the first half, I was stressed but full of such hope, and the latter, feeling old, sore, and anxious.
So, for the first time, I am starting to look my age. I won't be carded any more, not that I ever did drink much. I don't mind the outward signs of aging, though, as it might make people start to take me seriously. My high voice, short stature, and youthful looks don't give the right impression. I feel old, though, more so this year than any other. I'm definitely slowing down and mellowing.
